It was the worstest day of my life when myself and my hubby decided to travel via Lufthansa. It was after my hubby had undergone a by pass surgery a month prior. We had requested for an oxygen cylinnder since doctor had adviced us to arrange the same which might be needed in case of emergency..Point to note, we had paid extra 800$ towards the same..
This journey was from Atlanta - Frankfurt - Chennai..When we boarded the flight and asked them abt usage of cylinder, the crew says we dont know how to use the oxygen cylinder..If you are ok to travel without the usage of this cylinder, u can else u can decide not to take this flight..I was shocked to the core and couldnt think of taking a life threatening chance..
Then it stuck to me that we could check if there was a doctor on board...Luckily, there was a German doctor available on board..He helped us and somehow we could figure out how to use the same..Not that no one from cabin crew were with us to support us during this process..They were very rude to us probably becas we were Indians..They were literally not bothered even if we didnt board the flight..
Somehow we reached Frankfurt..We had to move to a different terminal and I asked for a wheel chair since my hubby couldnt walk for such a distance..Again there was noone who was listening to us..Finally after 1 hour of wait, one indian lady (a staff of lufthansa) came to help..Finally we got the cart which was driven by a lady who was very gentle enough and somehow we managed to reached the destination flight just 10 mins prior..Thanks to the lady who was quite humble with us..I still dread that day.......Horrible eperience..Would never travel with Lufthansa..
