Lurpak butter is distinguished by its natural, delicate, taste which to me brings out the flavour of food so well. Its unbeatable taste and quality makes it my very favourite butter. The product is churned out in Denmark using the finest creams for which this Scandinavian country has a world wide reputation.
Actually Lurpak celebrated its first centenary on October 23, 2001 and currently the Danish company produces five types of butter. These are: classic slightly salted butter unsalted butter two spreadable butters flavoured butter-this is only available in the Danish market. Lurpak is, of course, readily distinguishable on the supermarket shelves by its silver foil pack with blue and red lettering. What makes this product so nice is its utterly delicious creamy taste. For me a rare cold roast beef sandwich on bread with Lurpak butter is nigh on close to perfection. It is a totally reliable product and the Danish companys attention to quality control is legendary.
I should add that Danish butter has long had a great reputation: as long ago as the 1879 World Exhibition in London, Danish butter was proclaimed the best quality butter in the world. Nothing much has changed since then! Fortunately Britain is lucky because Lurpak Danish butter is widely available in grocers and supermarkets and the UK is a major market for the produce of Denmarks creameries and butter producers. I also believe this product is available in India.
