Well , I drew a lot of flak for crticisizing Azhar in my review on Sachin. But well as Hiten said u cannot explain how good a thing is if u cannot compare it with a bad thing. And Azfar or whatever his name is went over the board talking about ’’ur ppl selling ur own country’’ (hope u guys get what I mean or rather what he means to say) . In his profile he is from mumbai and he talks about ur country rather than our country. What the heck , the review is not about hin but about Azhar.
The Career - Well his start to his careet was fantastic and if I might say so the most sensational start in the history of cricket. He got centuries in his first 3 Tests ! WOW . Then he played a few matches for india was out for a little while and then he made a comeback. From then his place was cemented in the side. He rose in rank and stature and was soon the captain of the team . Personally I think he was the best Indian Captain ever .His fielding was fantastic to say the least. Did u know that he used to bowl and has taken 12 wickets in ODI.
The Bad part - Now then he married Sangita dumping his old wife . Then when exactly did he start to bet ? Why did he bet ? I guess the main reason for him to bet was one thing we all humans share GREED . Also everyone knows that he lived a very lavish lifestyle. Apartments , Watches , Ties , Suits, Flashy cars .. the works. So I guess he gave into the greed and that was when he was done for. Why did he have to do it ? Wasnt he earning enough from match-fees , Endorsements etc. This only he can tell us properly.
I really hope that Azhar writes on mouth shut that to why he did this. I was his greatest fan and was deeply hurt when I heard about it. Why did he betray me and the rest of his fans ? Why Azhar ? Why . But let us not forget that he has given us many glorious moments to remember and cherish . Many a time he has flick given the Indians so much a joy and I guess his confession was the most appropriate thing he could do . and at least for that we should respect him .
