The staff here lacks humanity. Though the hospital is situated right at the highway, it should be quick in treatments & service. But staff here lacks in giving the treatments on time. My mom met with an accident on express highway, she was brought to MGM in Kalamboli, since that was the closest one. Now the other car that hit our car had six people injured, out of which two were serious. Hospital staff was busy in treating all of them. Understood it was an emergency, those people needed attention, but to my surprise.they had limited doctors available on duty. Thankfully my mom had no serious injuries but she suffered from mental trauma. She was left unattended in one corner & on request she was offered a chair. Like this is how they treat people suffering from trauma?
When the doctors & staff there was asked what about the treatment?, they kept saying, its an emergency here.everyone is busy treating other patients please wait. We agreed to wait, as we realised how serious the others were. After my mom complained that her hand hurts now, only then a doctor attended her. He handed over the slip, mentioning the details of the X-ray to be taken. The X-ray section was as slow as other department. We waited 45 minutes for our number to come. Now funny thing here, when my mother had mentioned her finger on the right hand hurts too, doctor had failed to mention the same on the slip. I requested the X-ray attendant to get the X-ray done, I Shall get the same written by the doctor & pay in the mean time.you take the X ray. The attendant was so rude, he just did not wanted to do that.
After the X-ray crap was done, a staff nurse told my mom she will be giving the injection now. This lady-whom, I doubt was trained in giving injection.said couldn’t find the vein properly, whereas all the veins on my Mother’s hand were visible clearly. My mother refused from taking the injection & said I shall take antibiotics instead.(my mother herself is an staff nurse, imagine she getting such treatment). After my mother got excited on the treatment she was getting, its only then two doctors ran in treating her. Surprisingly, all the doctors on the duty were young, newly joined doctors. Who lacked in attending an emergency ward. There was no senior doctor on duty with them. The staff’s attitude was quite casual. The medicines list given to my mother consisted of the medicines which were not really required. On the second hand a staff nurse, to whom we complaint about the treatment. She tells us, ’ this is private hospital, not government so you can’t expect fast service here, we lack in staff’. Imagine, one busy morning.when the entire casualty ward is full of emergencies you get this reply.
We so did not wait there any longer, I quickly moved my mom from there & took her to another hospital.
