MS Dhoni The Untold Story starring Sushant Singh Rajput is now the fourth highest grosser of 2016.
The film has collected Rs 116.91 crore so far. Since Mirzya is not performing well, MS Dhoni is expected to stay strong in its second week also.
It will be interesting to see if Sushant Singh Rajput bags the best actor award this year for his performance.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory [Week 2] Fri 4.07 cr, Sat 5.20 cr, Sun 5.90 cr, Mon 3.40 cr, Tue 4.21 cr [Dussehra].
Total: ? 116.91 cr. India biz.” The film is behind only Salman Khan-starrer Sultan(Rs 300.45 crores) and Akshay Kumar’s Airlift(Rs 128.1 crores) and Rustom(Rs 127.49 crores), according to Bollywood Hungama.
MS Dhoni managed to collect Rs 60 crore in its first weekend after gaining initial momentum.
It also broke the record of highest openers at the box office this year.

The success of the film hasn’t come as a surprise to many.
First of all, it was based on one of the most popular cricketers – Dhoni. People were curious to know the man behind brand Dhoni.
To the credit of filmmakers, they have been able to find out an actor who could portray Dhoni on screen with complete honesty.
