Please save your life - don't go to Ramaiah Hspt

My son (2 months old) was admitted in PICU of Ramaiah Hospital last week. I have never seen such an unprofessional hospital in my life time. He was admitted on the night of 7th Sept for the treatment of Bronchiolitis. After opening a file in emergency ward, nursing staff told us to take him to PICU. The whole night we were waiting for someone (either nurse or atleast duty doctor) to call us to inform his health.

I requested the security guard to call nurse from PICU to enquire about my 2 month old son. But he did not heed to my request. No one informed us about my son’s health. Some how he spend 4 days in PICU and shifted to the ward on 11th Sept (sunday). The main drama started on the same day. Since it was a sunday the pediatrician was on leave. We noticed that my son started passing loose motions and informed the same to the duty doctor. But the doctor was not interested to list our problem. He said "if he is passing urine properly there  is no problem", but did not prescribed any medicine for loose motions.

By evening, my son turned restless and continuously crying. I went to the nurse station and informed the situation. They told me they’ll get some powder to stop loose motions. For which I waited for half an hour. Mean while me and my wife was trying hard to keep my son calm or atleast to make him sleep. Some where around 8.30, I again went to the nurse station and told them to call doctor. They said no senior doctor is available in the hospital. I told atleast call any duty doctor my son is crying continuously. Waited for another half an hour no reply. Later one duty doctor turn up but of no use (she was looking more confused than my wife and me). She tried to put more medical terminologies infront of me reduce my temper, for which I told I’m not at all convinced. After meeting the medical student (the duty doctor) I went to my ward to see that my son was crying continuously (turned red) and my wife was also crying by seeing him. I took him on arms, banged the door and ran toward nursing station once again. I shouted "We need immediate discharge now, this is not a hospital. Can’t you people understand the urgency of a ill person."  Meanwhile my wife (a journalist) called the PRO of the hospital and informed the situation and told him that we need some senior doctor to attend my child or discharge us immediately. Seeing my furious reaction they called another doctor in PICU and I took my son back there for check-up. A senior doctor examined my son and said there is nothing to worry. The problem in due to continuous loose motions my son got very bad rashes on his bumps. They applied some ointment of immediate relief and by 11.30 he slept calmly. I really thank that doc as other duty doctors suggested that my son got some abdomen problems and told me to take abdomen scanning. The same movement I decided that I’ll never turn-up to the hospital ever in my life. I would recommend this hospital only as a out patient. Never ever think of admitting in this hospital for treatment.
