Kya kool hain aaam

It is summer in India and with the temperature rising by the hour, all you feel like doing is to stay at home with a nice ripe and yummy mango or tender coconut water and read a book.

Now not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth, so people have to get out everyday and slog to earn their bread and butter (not butter.. we are weight conscious) so sitting at home not possible.

The second difficulty would be to go to the market and be able to make the choice of a perfect ripe and sweet mango. Thanks to Murphy’s law (“if anything can go wrong, it will”) that seldom happens.

That leaves me with the tender coconut water, but it get boring after a while.

So, we need to look for variations to satiate our thirst this summer. Maaza is one good alternative. It comes in a neat 1.2 liter plastic bottle, priced at Rs.36. Food World has an offer wherein you can buy 3 bottles for Rs.99. (you save Rs.9). This beverage taste best when served cold. It claims to be 100% fat free, and claims to have natural ingredients with preservatives of course. Unlike its fizzy counterparts like Coke and Pepsi it doesn’t make you burp and quenches your thirst.
