Mango drink from COCACOLA.

India being a tropical and agriculture based country, many consumers in India prefer fruit based beverages, so with the advent of this idea, many agro related company poped out there fruit drink based beverage and so is the case of cocacola of introducing Maaza is an Indian based serving served especially in Indian subcontinent only.

HOW GOOD IS MAAZA-

Well let us get into the insights of the product and dig a bit further down into the technicalities of the product, now Maaza promises of using 19.5% of concentrated pulp, which may sound more when compared to other competitive products from the market but also to be taking into consideration is unclear use of alphonso mango in the raw pulp used, maaza does not directly state the use of alphonso but indirectly agrees to use ofalphonso in their product of which the composition is unknown to the consumer. The acidity of the product is bit of an issue, when served at room temperature, it is evident that Maaza is bit on the sour side of drink when compared to others such as Slice and Frooti, which does not sounds an issue to me but may be problem to people intolerant to sour foods and also people prone to acidity and indigestion.

PRODUCT QUALITY-

Product quality is satisfactory as it confirms to ISO standards and FSSAI Standards of india but I see it as a drink on sour side and I surely don’t like it, Flavour is a bit of disappointment to me, I look forward to a fruit drink to be as refreshing as a fruit ate raw, this drink feels quite altered and lacks the original flavour of the fruit, not completely but mostly.

PACKAGING-

Packaging seems within the standards of food grade plastic but the company claims to consume the product within 4 months of packaging which seems unclear to me since other competitive drink offer upto 6 months of expiry period. Cost cutting is an another issue as the price goes up, down goes the quality of the plastic which is becoming flimsy like with day by day evolution of the product. Immitation of graphics on the label are very minimal and are good but does lack the brand appeal.

You can either rely on my saying and be a smart consumer or can look forward to try it by your own. But from my side I don’t feel confident enough in recommending this product to you.
