Writer certainly had chosen a very nice theme (somewhat inspired by Hollywood film Drop Dead Fred.. but it could have been made more realistic. It doesnt fulfill expectations of a good film.
And when its a film starring the hot Bips and handsome John, you expect nothing less than …you-know-what… kind of scenes. But the film disappoints in that too.
Anu (Bips) is suffering from depression since her sister and her sisters husband were killed in the Sept. 11th attacks. Concerned, Anus parents decide to get her engaged to Arpit Oberoi (Priyanshu). But Arpits work takes him to US leaving Anu on her own for a short while. This is the time when Anu happens to meet Aman (John). He is a member of an anti-terrorist organization. Believing in Amans aim in life, she falls in love with him. But when the time comes to tie the knot with Arpit, she declines the proposal.
Till intermission.. the story goes very well hooking you for the next half.. However disappointment starts right after that. Schizophrenia, the medical symptom Anu was suffering from, is quite common in psychiatry. But the problem could have been dealt with in a much realistic manner. The film fails to satisfy our conscious mind.
Listen Mr. Tanveer, I can give you a better ending… Aman could have come back to her in real.. Or still better.. Arpit hires Aman-look-alike person to cure Anu.. The person later confesses that he is not the one.. and returns back Anu to Arpit.. and himself fades away with a mystic smile … keeping the viewers wondering … is he the same guy???
How was that???
Arpits performance is noteworthy. But a person changing his personality using plastic surgery … not once but twice… is quite not acceptable. Bips doesnt look much glamorous in most of the scenes. The songs and choreography doesnt leave a mark. John who smokes bidi, rather than cigarettes, quietly impresses by his actions… I wish I might try taking bidi now!! It really looks cool man!
