I first tried maggi type noodles about 10 years ago, actually it was Mr.Noodle. I have since in the last year before I was pregnant tried eating maggi while in Australia because they were cheap.
I wouldnt have have bought this brand except for the fact that I had NO MONEY, and if I didnt eat it, I was sure to starve.
Maggi noodles although filled a small hunger gap, offered no nutritional value, no vitamins, or nutrients, and did only little to fill the hunger gap at that.
I probably could have gotten more nutrients off the leather soul of one of my shoes.
Fact is its fast, and its cheap. It offers little more, if any than than to its consumers.
Since being pregnant I have had to stop eating them because of the chemicals (anti-oxidants, and emulsifiers) that go by number instead of name on the label.
As an expectant mother I find this frustrating because the company felt no need to provide consumers such as myself with any information on these chemicals, and though it may be cheap, its still my $0.55 AUD, that I am spending/investing in their company.
Could in fact these foods be a danger to pregnant mothers, and if so then shouldnt they be labeled as such?
I dont recommend this product to pregnant or nursing mothers or children, since there is no evidence that it isnt harmful.
They say you are what you eat, but what about if you dont even know what you are eating???
No points for Maggi from me.
