Yes, we all were so sad and unhappy when Maggi Noddles was banned from the market. We all were missing out tasty noodles so much. Even the grocers lost some valuable profit during those months.
But, can you imagine that Maggi Noddles serves as a source of livelihood for many in the famous hill station of Mahabaleshwar. Yes, it true.
It was around 1.5 years back that I had visited this hill station and to my surprise I found stalls on wheel selling Maggie noddles prepared on their stoves. They actually had hung Maggi Packets on their stalls. They were actually making Hot Maggi and selling it to so many people.
When I asked that how come their sell Maggi and not something like a Corn Tikki or Sweet corn which is in great demand in Mahabaleshwar. They answered that Maggie sells the most during the season time here and many people come to eat it.
I have seen Chinese stalls, Vada Pav stalls and many other stalls on the streets, but this was my first time that I saw a stall selling only the Hot Maggi. They actually sold it for around Rs.30/- per bowl.
I can hardly imagine the lives of these people without Maggie. Its their source of daily bread and butter. Thank Goodness that Maggie is back in the market, not only for us, but for these people too.
