Maggie's magic..........

Every evening the same question ponders my mind “ What for dinner “ and as my exhausted mind just refuses to answer.......

Here comes my hubby with a packet of Maggie noodles (the money saver pack) with smiles and tells me “ I would prepare dinner tonight and you just sit and watch” Me stunned…….

My association with Maggie noodles takes me back down the memory lane of some priceless memories of my hostel days. During those days we used to yearn for something warm and hot food during those cold nights of winter when specially prepare for the exams. And specially when one is studying…..”bhookh to lagni hi hain..and then..pet mein choohe daud rahe hain…kya kare..kuch garam khana hain” would be the unanimous demands from all the 4 of us in the room after the horrible so called dinner at 6:30 pm in our hostel mess.

Almost every night, we helpless creatures take solace in each other’s company, and would ultimately munch something of the regular stuff that our dear parents would have sent us with all their love and affection. For me the adventures of cooking and introduction to Maggie noodles almost happened at the same time during my stay at the hostel.

With Maggie noodles packet always in stock, we used to relish it everytime as never before. Maggie happened to be the answer to our hungry questions during those chilly nights of study. And we never restrained it to those chilly nights, it became our favourite easy to cook food for life.

I remember the times when I used to hate the sight of the made noodles which seemed as worms to me. I used to wonder that how a person can just swallow this yuck thing down his food pipe. The hostel days made me realize the importance of mama’s hath ka khana and also broke all my myths against Maggie. Since then my association with Maggie has been wonderful as my hubby too happens to be a Maggie freak.

Maggie with Bread :

This combination happens to be my favourite. Maggie cooked without any vegetables or any other ingredients other than the flavoured pack inside Maggie and with slices of Bread alongwith hot coffee….gives you that enduring taste of complete satisfies your taste buds. It also satisfies your hunger as well as the urge to eat something hot. This combination works best with a hot cup of tea also specially when you are studying late…at night.

Maggie with vegetables :

Vegetables like green peas, potatoes, tomatoes, capsicum and laced with coriander leaves adds to the tangy taste of Maggie. This recipe is loved by all at home as this becomes a mixture of traditional with modern kind of food. My parents and My in-laws like specially the Maggie made in this style.

Why Maggie !!!

Maggie is the ultimate solution to all those working women for whom cooking is a nightmare or a torture. It is the best food as dinner as it is light and easy to digest. Above all it is cheaper and very fair to our wallets. The money saver pack comes as an added advantage. Moreover it is easy to cook and tasty to eat in all its flavours. Nevertheless it is always the pleasant change from the regular dal, roti, sabji stuff. Finally it happened to save working women from the tedious job of cooking dinner specially after a tiring day at work. Above all the utensils required are minimal compared to regular days.

My maid is too happy to work the next day……and questions me “Kal kya Maggie banaya tha….?

’’For me Maggie serves every purpose right from hubby dear to my maid servant who is equally happy.....
