I went to mahabaleshwar with 7 of my friends on 2nd of October 09 and we did our booking in Sai villa itself. We were a bit scared reading the reviews posted here, but when we reached there all our tensions swept away.
Due to some past incidences owner Mr Dantale has changed the care taker. The new guy is very cooperative who lives with his wife in gues house.
All four rooms were neat and clean and big enough indeed. We had breakfast and Dinner there and they were awesome too.
Its a good place for family to stay and chill out. Its located at a nice hill top and mahabalehwar market is just a few KMs from there.
We spoke about the past incidences and reviews posted here like care taker drunk and no water etc, and he confirmed saying yes; but on the same time clarified that it was mistake from both the sides.
The customers had left a tap in bathroom open that drained out their complete water tank that caused unavailablity of water next day and customer and care taker had a fight as customer were demanding dinner at 3 AM as they were also drunk.
Now the care taker is changed, and we were very happy with our stay there.I would once again recommend this place. I created my mouthshut id just to clarify that it is indeed a nice place.
