Good place for seafood..

I went to mahesh lunch home with my cousins for dinner. We had to decide between mainland china, sigree and mahesh lunch home, as everyone of us likes seafood , we decided to try out mahesh lunch home. The place is really good if you want to try seafood. It also has several branches.

Their speciality is seafood. They serve Indian, Asian, local cuisines , seafood. Their staff was really friendly. Its expensive but the quality they serve is also very nice.

The ambience was good. It was not too noisy or anything like that. In some restaurants they play very loud music , which makes it really difficult to talk with each other. It was a nice , peaceful environment.

We were 8 people and we asked the staff to suggest what we should try here, and they suggested to take a surmai fry. So they bought a raw surmai to show us what they are actually going cook and serve us which was good I think .

Mostly the restaurants that serve seafood, get the seafood in bulks and then they store it. They buy it fresh but then they store it so basically what we eat is frozen seafood, but here the surmai didn’t looked frozen. They usually show the raw fish or whatever seafood it is to their customers so that they get actually get to know that what they are going to eat would be of good quality. They also bought a lobster to show on our neighbouring table.

The surmai fry was really good, it was perfectly cooked and tasty. Then we ordered a chicken starter which was good too. For main course we ordered roti, naan and chicken. We also ordered some south indian dish . Usually in restaurants it happens that they use the same kind of gravy for alot of their dishes or the recipes are modified a little bit , but this one was very unique. The taste of coconut was very prominent which is important in south indian food. The south Indian dish was also suggested by their staff .

With dinner we also ordered a lemon soda. For desert we had gulab jamun and caramel custard. The food was worth the price. For anyone who likes seafood, this is a place I would like to suggest.
