I bought Mahindra Duro DZ 125 Magenta color scooter 2 months back. I read very positive reviews on mouthshut which built my confidence to buy this vehicle. Now I feel these are all sponsored comments. My experience with vehicle is extremely bad. As the vehicle was consuming excessive fuel, I went for a mileage test and shocked to see it was just 27 Km/ Lt.
When it comes of self start, I think its worst in class, scooter will give you a lot of trouble not only in morning but throughout the day. Be ready that vehicle can stop even at the mid of main roads the moment you slow it down, its extremely dangerous and unreliable. The other big mess is fuel tank cap; it will give you a feeling of opening the old kerosene plastic containers. One has to literally struggle to open it with both arms during re-fills, and if you don’t put similar efforts whiling close it, whole fuel will vaporize.
I think Mahindra is good with just tractors, and they need to understand customer expectation from a scooter. Pls don’t get bribed by 2K discounts offers; otherwise you have to pay for whole vehicle life. I’m ready to sell it in 5K depreciation within 2 months of purchase, even then not getting a single buyer. Company claims that ride the vehicle for 2, 500 Km after that everything will be fine. Its funny to finish 10% life of vehicle to hope for any better performance.
