What can you say about a gearless scooter which drinks petrol like it is Rs 10/litre?
What if the service engineer cant even figure how to solve this problem?
What if the same engineer is not even located in your city & you have to take appointment for that?
What if the service of local dealer is as pathetic as the mileage
What if your father reminds you everytime of your bad decision to buy this it?
What if the resale value is also very poor?
Well the answer to all this is a harrowing experience.i have rued the day I made my decision to buy this bike.i was interested for pleasure or activa but it had a long waiting time of more than 1 month for both & I needed bike urgently.Even the customer care at franchisee of HH is no better here in rourkela, Odisha.there employees gives bike to whoever gives them extra Rs 500-1000.This was all due to my bad luck also as there was ongoing strike if you remember around 2 yrs back both in HH & honda. Thus I was stuck with this piece of junk.
It gives mileage of 20-25 at best.at the start it gave 20-25 later improved to 30-32 after servicing but after that it has come down to 20-25.after taking to service centre it comes back to 30 but again it comes back to 20-25.I came to know it is the same problem with every other rodeo(it shares same engine with duro & priced 2000 extra for electronic meter).countless visits to service centre has been fruitless.even when we want to sell it nobody wants to give more than 15000 which we bought for more than 45000 2 yrs back.
If Mahindra cannot manufacture good bikes then it shouldnt enter this segment.morever why manufacture a 125 cc bike when 100-110cc(pleasure has 110cc)will give equal performance with better mileage.its not like anybody is going to race on this scooterette. This shows that many manufacturers make decisions sitting in glass houses far away from reality. It also shows that if you are successful in one segment wont carry that effect into totally new segment.Even my sisters old scooty pep is giving 45+ & not to talk about suzuki scooterette which also sharing the same 125cc gives at worst 40kmpl & 45 ridden at standard speed.
So I think mahindra should come out with a public apology for producing this piece of junk if not compensating customers who bought for the assurance of mahindra brand.
As to performance & handling its either at par or even better in many category, no complain as to any other aspect.
