Hi, I have purchased my duro three months back and I am quite satisfied with it. three months back when I first decided to purchase a scooter, i had shortlisted 3 models namely-Honda(Activa), Mahindra(Duro) and Honda(Pleasure) and did a market survey of these 3 models.
now-a-days honda ACTIVA is getting sold like a hot cake there is a rumour among the customers that it is having the best mileage(45 kmpl) in its category, it’s mileage is no dought good but it is still not the best. moreover it takes around 3 months after booking to get delivery and also the behaviour of the employees in the show room is not at all good(as there is a great demand of their model in market). it is said that the tyre is puncture free but that is upto a certain extent.
mahindra DURO, you will be totally fascinated from it first look. the model is having the best engine in it’s category(SYM’s engine). it’s shows a mileage of around 40 .the suspension system of duro is completely hydraulic so it is really very comfortable. it is having a large storage space and a large fuel tank. so less fuelling and more driving. but it also having some problems too -a mileage of 40 kmpl is very low for indian roads moreover after sales service is also not too good.
Hero PLEASURE -" why should boy’s have all the fun " -this tag line from hero is keeping male customer’s away from this model. no it is a good model from the reliable hero. it’s look’s is also stunning and average mileage too .but this is the scooter for the indian WOMEN folk.
lastly I had 2 options ACTIVA or DURO and I purchased Mahindra DURO as the honda asked to wait for 3 months after booking to get the delivery. but truly saing after 3 months of my using MAHINDRA DURO I am totally satisfied with my move. it was a good decision to purchase . I srongly recommend all male customers to go with DURO -it is good for both hills aswell as for plains .GO FOR IT.
