Today I want to give my readers a reveiw of a new scooter from mahndra.this product is different from the other scooters of mahndra like Rodeo and Duro because this is an all new designed scooter from mahndra’s own recearch and devolepment branch and the previous scooters have been from kinetic-sym legacy. coming to the stylng mahindra gusto is not a breathtaking design but its a pretty good design which doesn’t seem awkward to me in any manner.
The big wheels seem muscular on the scooter.the headlight is mounted on the handle and there is a mahindra logo on the lower part of the front apron.the indcators are on the either side of the logo.the rear lights of the gusto are pretty intresting the lights surround the mahindra badge on the rear which seems a pretty novel thougt.the lights illuminate the badge in an awsome way when we hit the brake or at night.overall the design of the scooter is unisex another new feature for india’s scooter industry is the saddle height adjustment mechanism uniquely patented by mahindra.
This feature will be incorporated into all the mahindra’s scooters eventually.one more unique feature is the small storage space behind the instrument cluster for holding small stuff the legroom on the platform is pretty good and there is a storage space under the seat which can easily swallow a half face helmet with ease along with other stuff.the long seat is plus and adequately cushioned.the shock absorbers are also very good and take most of ups and downs the road throws at you. coming to the engine and performnce the gusto gives a peak power output of 8 bhp and the top speed s somewhere between 80-90 kmph the engine goes to the the top speed without breakng a sweat.the lower and the mid range also feels quite impressive.The acceleration is also quick and the engine is peppy and the vibrations are kept to a minimum.The scooter is very competitively priced at INR 43, 000 and INR 47, 000 ex-showroom delhi.
THE VERDICT overall the scooter is pretty well armed to take over its rivals like the honda activa and others in it’s segment and the height adjustment will be a boon if scooter is used by persons of different heights.I complete this reveiw by wishing mahndra all the good luck with its good package
