I bought Logan DLS 1.5 ( Diesel) 5 months back. I was looking for a good Diesel sedan. I have driven more than 6000 Kms in different types of road and in all weather conditions.
Will list down the positives and negatives.
Positives:
1.Well built vehicle very solid and rugged. Driven it on real bad roads at very high speeds. absolutely no problem till now.
Very spacious. Proper seats for five people but can comfortably seat six. The biggest boot in its class. Yuo can keep upto 5 medium to large suitcases.
Very good suspension and wide tubeless tyres making it very comfortable journey.
I consistently get 16 to 17 Km per liter of diesel in bangalore traffic. I have got above 24 km/ ltre in good highways.
Handling is superb. dont find any problem at high speeds upto 140.
Air conditioning is very powerful.
Very smooth engine I find it smoother than my Wagon R.
Braking is good.
9.Easy to drive in city. Good power and provides high torque in low RPMs
10.I have tried in one of the most difficult ghats of Ooty (36 hair pin bends). Did not find any problem .
- Very refined CRDI diesel engine.
Negatives.
Everything works in the opposite way. Like Indicator, lights etc. Of course you get adjusted to it in a few days.
Interiors are not plush just ordinary.
You feel a lack of power some times when driving in the highway. Say at 50 you are on 5th gear and want to zoom . It does not respond well unless RPM touches 1500 mark. Of course after that it pulls the vehicle very well.
Remote boot opener: It did not come originally I fitted one by Mahindra by just paying Rs 500.
Looks: Many dont like the bland rear look . I have fitted a spoiler to cover it up.
Looking at all these I feel its a real value for money car with a great engine and body.
