I have purchased my Logan diesel version on July ‘07. My budget was around 6.5 lakhs and I thought Logan is the right choice. Anyway my decision was correct. I am completely satisfied with the performance and fuel consumption of the vehicle.
I have purchased the base model version and added stereo & speakers(Rs. 10, 000), auto-cop(Rs. 2800), sun film(Rs. 2500), seat-covers(Rs. 3400), etc….
I don’t like the look of the vehicle from backside. But when I have opened the boot, I realized that it can serve my purpose – carry good amount of luggage from Bangalore to my native place and back, airport pickups, etc.
I am a week-end traveler between Bangalore and neighboring places with my wife and friends & relatives.
I have compromised on the poor quality interiors because of the prize tag. The other one - Boot was not able to open remotely when I have purchased the vehicle but thanks to Auto-Cop because it’s resolved the problem.
I am worried about the service but so far I have not faced any problem with Mahindra servicing.
I have touched 150+ in Bangalore-Mysore highway without any vibration and the vehicle was reliable and smooth in that speed(but I felt a small flying effect and that was the first time I was touching 150 km/hr speed). I think it can easily go beyond that but I didn’t try because my wife was sitting beside me.
I felt the vehicle was very comfortable and reliable when I was driving through the 35 steep & deep hairpin curves in the Ooty road.
I got 25+ mileage when I have traveled 720 KM in one stretch keeping the RPM less than 2000.(But it took long time to reach the destinationL). I am getting 16+ in Bangalore city traffic.
The main reasons I have purchased Logan Diesel Base Model
Diesel Sedan is available at this price tag with all the standard features
5 people can comfortably sit inside, Better boot space
The vehicle is from RENAULT and LOGAN is an international success
Something new in Indian Market.
Last 4 months I am using the car and my opinion is “LOGAN is a true value for money sedan”
