After a lot of search and not many test drives my father finally decided to go for the Logan when it was not a big hit that it it today.
Growing up on Ambassadors Logan was a sea change. But nothing on three very important issues: comfort, space and reliability.We have actuallt travelled in the car from heart of India to Kashmir without a single break down. Yes WITHOUT a single breakdown.
The car is wonderful. It has got huge space. Leg room in the rear is best. I mean for close to six lakhs we get a car like this.May be its not a great looker but once you are inside the car who cares. Those inside are least bothered if people on the street actually turn their heads to look at you or the car. Could not have asked for a better car to replace our trusted Amby.
Since then the car has travelled to various parts of the country without any trouble whatsoever. The credit also goes to my father who has been mainting his baby.But a minor mishap and whole story turns bad. Though we do have a service centre in Bhopal. For some strange reason the car which met with a minor mishap is lying there for almost two months now.
And these guys are taking their sweet time to repair it. The service of any vehicle you take - two or four is very important and which we ignore.I will not suggest anybody to go for Logan though it is the best thing to have happened to the middle class for the simple reason- the poor servicing. Instead try a Maruti or Tata or Hyundai. But check out the service centres first. Sooner or later (after the free service) you will knock on their doors for a job.
