I am from Chandigarh and Bought the Logan DLS model few days back so its very early to write a review for me but still I am writing what I felt about this car.I was Thinking to buy new car for few months now but not able to decide what diesel car should I buy in 5-7 lakh range. My first choice was Ford Fiesta but dropped it coz of its high price and very costly spare parts.new indigo LX model was next coz of its price and space but I didnt liked its looks and few friends told me that its engine is not good so I looked at Maruti Swift VDI model and test drove it and liked it coz its really a good diesel engine but it dont have much space and paying 5.5 lakh for hatchback seems little too much but I was still ready to buy it but dealer told me that I have to wait 90 days coz maruti have some production problems and coz of high demand.
But than one of my friends bought the Logan DLS model and told me to go for it coz its a VFM car but First I was not Looking at it coz I didnt liked the looks much but when I test drove it i was ready to buy it coz it has really good engine like swift even though on paper swift s 75BHP is way better than 65 horses of Logan but when u drive it it dont feels its any less than swift. No need to change too many gears in city drive and on highway its a smooth car to drive and main thing is it has lot of space even more than few very expensive cars.
Fuel consumption of this car is 16-17kmpl in city driving and 22 to 23 on highway with AC on all the time but without AC it goes up by 2kmpl both in city and highway so its really good.one another thing I noted that once the AC is off the pickup feels better than petrol cars and it can move in third gear from standstill.on overall comparison, It is perhaps the most intelligent choice at 6.5 lakhs and at same time Best VFM in it’s segment.
I am driving this car for few days now and it feels good inside and driving this car is easy and it dont feels like you feel in indica or indigo that u are driving a big car.
andground clearance of this car is 172 mm not 152 as some are saying here in reviews.
