Logan Test Drive Report

Did test drive LOGAN(Diesel) yesterday and here is the feedback

V.V. Important- Take test drive on steep road, and check Engine power.

  1. Looks: Average.

  2. Engine Power - I drove on the steep road but the truth is that it only climbs in first gear, fails to climb in second gear. 1.6L engine has really poor power. The car did not take initial pick up in first gear even on straight roads. Renault really needs big improvement in engine power for steep Indian roads in future release. This is one of the reasons I did not book the car,

  3. Boot Space: One of the bigger but lesser than Hyundai Verna (590L)

  4. Features: Miserly put in - you won’t even get front Power windows in Diesel Model which cost around RS 6 Lac. You get that in the higher version which cost around RS. 7.3 LAKS.

  5. Power Steering- some what hard its not for free drive.Distance between driver seat and Steering is very less, very uneasy to get in and out.

  6. Mileage - Petrol version 10 Kmpl. Diesel 18 kmpl.

  7. Rear seat is big and comfortable

  8. Gear shift was smooth

  9. I Droved Left hand model in Paris before the Indian Logan drive, there is

lot of difference in these two, I was carrying lot of expectations from Renault

but it needs lot of improvements.

I would suggest test Hyundai Verna Its very good car in same range.
