Bought Logan DLX(Mist Silver) from TVS Cochin. as of today I have completed around 2900 Km. till date I am completely satisfied by the performance of my car. Its giving me around 19 km mileage in highways and 14-16 km in city drive with AC full time on.
First let me list few –ves which are not much in number.
-Cannot see the Air-condition indication light from driver seat without a deliberate effort .The switches are placed a bit lower in the centre console, and are not within easy line of driver’s reach.
-The hood release in the left hand side is impractical.
The wipers are a bit disturbing during heavy rain .During heavy rain the left wiper splashes some amount of water into the driver’s side of windshield, which is wiped away by the right wiper only after a small delay.
Initially I found a bit miserable starting to move the vehicle in an inclined road. I was required to accelerate a bit more, before releasing the clutch. May be I was just used to petrol car and this is the case with all diesel cars… Now got adjusted with this and so not a big deal.
The much debated negatives like indicators and wiper knob positions are not a big concern once you drive your Logan for a day or two. You will definitely get used to it.
For me the absence of remote boot open is also not a big concern. I think it will be a problem only for people who are subjected to security check of the vehicle at their offices on a daily basis(As in my previous office).
Logan’s higher torque in lower gears is a very good feature and that makes this vehicle suited for easy cruising through congested city traffic. In none of the cases I felt this vehicle as an under powered one(I have seen people comparing the power and commenting on that). Really Logan is not an adrenaline-puller but it really has adequate power and serves you as a good VFM(Value for Money) car.
Another good feature but not much talked about is light focus adjuster. I really felt this as a useful feature.
Comfort and Space in back seats is worth commendable. Leg room and head room is ample. You will really get a comfortable ride in this vehicle with 5 people in.
There is a solid body and the engine feel is really sturdy. Compared to Tata Indigo, Logan really has a better finish and space.
