*Here are my views after driving the vehicle for 37, 000 Kms.The Logan would have been a great success if Mahindra & Mahindra had addressed the followings problems..These are the facts which impress the Owner while making a decision.
Cons:*
The problems faced are extremely hard clutch & the steering response is hope less.You need to be muscle man to drive a Logan. The drivers fatigue is is too much. Moreover the thigh muscles starts aching while commuting the city traffic.
The Homegrown Little TATA Nano has a Hydraulic Clutch whereas Logan has a Cable operated dry clutch which makes its very hard & requires frequent attention from service engineers.Have you ever driven a car with Power Steering - Test Drive Logan today & feel the silky hard (Smooth) steering. Either you should be a WWF wrestler or you should have 3 pegs before driving.
Logan has a Hydraulic assisted Power Steering, the response would have been better if the car was provided with Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering. Scorpio has a very good & effortless Power Steering & Hydraulic Clutch.
The drivers fatigue is more & there is no driving pleasure..I have replaced the JKTyre with Brigdestone Turanza at 38, 000 KM. Now, I could feel the power steering effect. It’s quite smooth now.The wiper & the nozzle is another inherent problem with Logan. It splashes back water during its revese motion, obstructing the drivers view.I’m living with this problem from october 2007. No solution in sight from Mahindra & Mahindra.
Service:
The service at MPL motors - Chennai is miserable. I have to take my vehicle at-least 2 or 3 times to get a problem solved. Moreover if we tell about any problem, the answer will be , in Logan it’s like that. Firstly they should understand the problem & then find a solution.
Pros:Logan is born with tons & tons of spaces. It can seat 3 people comfortably at the rear.
Greater Stability & good braking
Very good mileage.
City - 15 Kmpl
Highway - 20 kmpl
Would have been a Great Product & VFM if these problems were addressed in time.

My advice to those who plan to buy Logan in near future, Pls look in the above problems & then decide.
