I bought DLS 1.5 top end model in Mid June, 2007 and have already done about 7000 Kms of running. I have travelled 750 Km at a strech(ofcourse with stops). I drove it at 120 Km/Hr speed and found the car very stable and the confidence high while overtaking or in emergency situtaion.
The manuaverability is good. The driving comfort is excellent and the power is sufficient for the diesel engine and the over 1000 KG LOGAN.
I am getting approx 16-17 km/L in Delhi city traffic. and over 22 Km/L on highways.
Before buying I have explored and compared LOGAN with most of the available cars like SX4, Maruti Esteem, Chevrolet Avea, Verna and Ford Fiesta. I decided to buy the car because of the space, the economy, Renaut Brand with Mahindra, s low cost spares and the test drive always compared better than all other cars mentioned above. My family has also been inclined to LOGAN all though my decision making process. You will be surprised to know that I have taken test drive of LOGAN three times before making the final decision.
Overall my satisfaction level is high though some of the things(accesories) mentioned in other reviews will be surely improved by M & M to suit the indian right hand driving requirement, taste of locals and competition.
I have a piece of advise to the sales people in Bhasin motors that they should never tell anythingwhich they don’t know correctly. They were not well trained when I bought the vehicle. I came to know only last week when I took the car for pollution test to the service station(because it was over smoking) that the car needs to be run on ordinary diesel and not on high speed diesel(HSD). I was filling it up with HSD because the sales manager had advised me to do it for long life and economy. I have run the car for about 4.5 Months on HSD and hope nothing has gone wrong with my engine.
