Guys please don’t ever buy this car. This is my recommendation to you. The car is not made to serve the buyer rather it is made to serve the company. I shall tell u what has actually happened to me. On 17.06.2009 my LOGAN DLS met with an accident and the bumper got uprooted. I went to the agency to get it fixed thinking it as a minor damage. I was shocked to see that the power steering pump was behind the bumper and it was damaged. To worsen the case I was told that the pump had to be changed and it costs Rs. 30, 000/-. I then had no option but claim insurance.
Later on when the pump was fitted it was found that the sockets which connected the pump to the car were also broken. I asked them to change the sockets. they told me that the entire wiring has to be changed that would cost Rs. 31, 000. I requested them the socket only why I should be burdened with the cost of entire wiring but all in vain. It can be summed but from the above mentioned story that if you have a small accident then prepare to empty your pockets and be at the mercy of Mahindra. That small accident in which there were only a few scratches on the left hand side of the front bumper costed me Rs. 61, 000/. Without the motor the power steering of no use it beocmes so hard that is impossible to drive the car.
Another intersting thing to share is that I bought the car on 21.06.2007 and the car was under warranty till 20.06.2009 i.e. for 2 years. The accident happened on 17.06.2009. It was agreed that the warranty of the car shall be extended on my request and I shall be apying for it when I shall get the delivery of the car. (extended warranty costs around Rs. 15, 000) Due to that socket problem the delivery of the car got late and when I enquired about extended warranty the company refused as if I was passing a burden to them. I even contacted Mr. Rajiv from Mahindra for both the problems but to no use.
From the abovementioned it can be seen that how LOGAN DLS eats into your pocket when a very minor accident happens and how do the car maker deals with you when it comes to taking responsibity. Please I request all dont buy LOGAN.
