I went to the showroom at Calicut, and the salesman asked"How can I be of assistance?" I said I want to see a Logan. He took me to the car and I was chatting with him about the specs. My coleague, in the meanwhile got into the Driver’s Seat, and shouted: Hey man!!! I can see the Bonnet!. (Something that I have’nt seen from the inside of any other car other than the good old Amby) The place where I live requires me to see the corners of the car, or else, I will end up scraping the edges. I too was convinced. Really good driving position. The A/C is superb. It cools the cabin well even during hot days.
The cabin is very spacious, and the rear seats are devoid of any humps. My prime concern was my back seat riders, my Mother and the two kids. So, I took my Mother for the test ride and she too is impressed with the ride. Very smooth ride. (What is the need for a 16 valve engine, when you can get the same performance with an 8 valve one? ) I fell for the car and within a week, the loan was arranged and a Gleaming 1.4 GLX was lying in my car shed. Took a trip to Mahe . Fantastic! good ride. Long rides are very comfortable. My money is well spent. I went for a petrol Version as do not intent to cover much distance. My travel is mostly in the city. I take my bike for most of the time as I cant find much parking space. .
The body is super strong and sturdy. I dont intend to change the car for the next 15 years. (Another reason for Logan)
The car has some good things like Power windows and central locking. The Boot space is superb. I can sleep in it comfortably.
This is a car for anyone who wants to travel comfortably, not looking on others for clues for living, and is satisfied with what one can achieve.
This is not the time to comment on fuel efficency. The car has not covered 1500 kms. The diesel version is said to give excellent mileage. I have also not looked into the power and pickup as the car is still an infant. (Not covered 1500 kms.)
*Dont expect a racing car from a logan. But it will take you to places in good comfort.

Now the car has crossed 12000 kms.** Tried a lot of hill rides. It is ok in third gear, takles gradients well. Long trips are really comfortable. The car was taken to wayanad and it was like being glued to the road all the time. Some curves were taken at arount 60kmph.
