I happened to buy Mahindra Rodeo for Rs.51000 on 24th of April 2010 for the following Brighter Side Of Rodeo- Mahindra Brand (cos I also own a 2003 Model Scorpio), Great Looks n Styling, Digital Meter, Front Telescopic Suspension, Front Fuel Filling, Mobile Charger, Anti-Theft Lock, Silent & yet a Powerful 125cc Engine. The Brighter Side stops here. Now starts the True Reality & Ugly Face, THE DARK SIDE OF THE RODEO - The Ground Clearance is Very Low & tends to bump onto most of the road humps.
As for the Mileage it’s a total let down cos when you ride around 30-40km speed the Mileage is around 34km/litre & if you exceed beyond 40km speed & above, then be prepared to burn your hard earned money cos the Mileage drops down to a shocking 19km/litre. Now you know the Real Mileage of Rodeo which is between a Minimum of 19km/ltr to a Maximum of 34km/ltr.
Even when the vehicle is left unused still you end up loosing petrol because it keeps evaporating from the petrol tank due to the faulty design of tank which is connected to the front fuel lid by a hose pipe. After running some 1450kms over a period of two & half months, I thought enough is enough & was so disappointed with my Rodeo that I finally sold it for a mere Rs. 36000/- on 15th of July 2010 just to get rid of it.
I really dont want anybody to lose their money like I lost by buying a Rodeo. So Beware & Cautious in buying a Rodeo if you are planning to buy one! SAVE YOURSELF& your precious money by staying away from buying a Rodeo. And as for me, Im out to buy the best scooter possible, so I have test rided the following scooters - Suzuki Acess (Average -> 125CC, Fat Dumb Look, Front Telescopic Suspension, Mileage around 35-40km/ltr), Honda Dio (Somewhat OK -> 102CC, Stylish, Mileage around 35-40km/ltr), Honda Aviator (OK ->110CC, Macho Look, Inspite of Front Telescopic Suspensionit still bumps up when u hit a road hump, Mileage around 45km/ltr), Honda Activa (Good -> 110CC, Executive Style, Underseat Fuel Lid, Mileage around 45km/ltr, Available around 45-60 Days of Booking) & TVS Wego (Excellent -> 110CC, Stylish Sporty Look, 12 Inch Alloy Wheels, LED Tail Lamp, Front Telescopic Suspension, Nitrogen Gas Filled Rear Suspension, Rear Fuel Lid, Mileage around 45km/ltr, Available almost immediately). So im yet to decide between Honda Activa & TVS Wego. So in my opinion it’s wise & safe bet to either Buy a Honda Activa or a TVS Wego depending upon each individuals taste.
