Buy it if you want to waste your hard earned money

I had bought this vehicle since it was from Mahindra Automobile. Thought that since it is a Mahindra product, it must be a quality product but I think it is the worst product from Mahindra. I would not be surprised that in future I would come to know that Mahindra had imported dirt cheap kits & is assembling & supplying it as it’s own product. I still can’t believe that this is a Mahindra product!

I had purchased the vehicle in April 2013 and problems with the vehicle started within a week of it’s purchase. The first problem which started was that it’s electronic fuel gauge didn’t show the fuel quantity correctly i.e. on getting the fuel tank filled completely it didn’t register it for at least 2-3 km and after that it behaved very erratically, sometimes showing full tank and sometime only 1/4 tank full and after some time it started blinking as if it has only reserve quantity of fuel left. That too after you have rode it for 5-7 km.

On complaining to the service managers and personals at it’s service center I was told that since the fuel tank is below the engine level so it shows fuel level erratically and this is a practical problem in every vehicle whose fuel tank is below the engine level. As per my knowledge, most of the four wheeler including that of Mahindra have their fuel tank at level below the engine and their display is accurate, I was told that these are the technical things which I can’t understand so accept what they are telling me.

Second problem: Now and then some or other nut bolt get’s loose and disappears. On complaining regarding this I was advised that I should ride carefully at a speed at which I could avoid even the smallest pothole on road. In other words I should ride only on roads which doesn’t have even one pothole otherwise I would be responsible for loosing nut bolts from the vehicle. Fuel consumption is worst, on riding on constant speed of 30 km/hr on an empty road, it would surely give you an fuel consumption of 35 km/liter otherwise if you are lucky the fuel consumption would be 25 km/liter.

I have decided that I would never buy a two wheeler manufactured by Mahindra.
