True to my title I rode the bull for the 1st time at bangalore. So felt like sharing my experiance, Which might help others in their buy.
My background being a IC design professional. Drove petrol engines all the way round since 7 yrs, Had a Matiz and a Santro.
Was in a very confused state when I looked at changing my vehicle.
Initally thought of going with Diesel cars of high end. And in that matter went to see a ford fiesta at St, Marks road.
Was greeted very well by ford markrting executives. Took a test drive and felt lacking something in the car, Not sure what.
Meaning I was not completely thrilled with it.
Then went on to see a Lancer diesel version, But was not convinced with the price and the car. who would wanna buy a old technology now with that a pricing.
My brother too agreed with me.
Wanted to see other cars of Huyndai. And as I was pulling my car out to leave to hyundai showroom, Saw a Bull (My name of Scorpio ) inviting.
Boy o Boy, The look of a black one was just rocking. And was inviting me in front of India Garage.
Went into the showroom irresistable on its looks. Was welcomed by those guys had a great discussion on its new features and the release of a new scorpio.
When I asked them for a test drive they told me that the new version of scorpio 2006 was out that Sunday. And had to wait for the test drive till the next tuesday for the new scorpio.
Took the broucher and came back home. Was wondering about these features as to how true were they. The new features included suspension, looks, Interiors, seating arrangements.
The price difference b/w a scorpio and the high end cars were not much and were in my budget. So was also thinking about this to add to my own confusion now.
Wated for the tuesday, But since my office was near vijay sales went there instead of india Garage.
Then came the real moment to drive the bull. When I started the car, I could not believe that it was a Diesel engine, So less nosier compared with innova or a Tavera.
On the ride I just went nuts rode on the inner ring road of bangalore, Touched 130+ in no time, Over tooka lot of vehicles, The test driver was insisting to go hard at it, But believe me I did not have guts to do so, Even at that speed the vehicle stood still as if I was driving at a 60 in my santro. The new suspensions are just amazing much better that the high end car.
I then thought that even though it does not suite my profession and my designation, The comfort of the Bull was just like my Bed at home.
All in all I felt that I just should not think of a high end car, But looking at a few other posts, I thought about Innova, But the ride of a Bull kept me mum and insisted me to go for it.
I just without having a second though booked a scorpio at vijay sales.
