Scorpio CRDe - Hear it Roar - Continuation

Sometime back I went on a river rafting trip to rishikesh. The scorpio was awesome on the terrain. But there were 2 things that got me a wee bit worried.

1) We were 2 couples driving all the way from Gurgaon. The folks on the back

seat started complaining of back ache. I have a 7 seater (am a space freak!!).

But I could not do anyything about changing the inclination of the rear seats?

Anyone faced any such problems and are there any suggested solutions? I do know

that the Innova has seat adjustments on all seats of the car.

2) I am slowly mistrusting the tyres a lot. I dont have a heart to blame the

beast, but it is still at the back of my head. there are 2 parts to this:-

a) For those in Gurgaon, dont park anywhere you think parking is illegal. I

had to go thru THE pain of parking in front of the HyperMart Phase IV(Needs

Supermarket). Only to come back and see someone (that mothe@$ fu$%#@g bas&$d)had punctured both the driver side tyres. I called the scoprio helpline and the

guy who came was a Scorpiophilic mechanic. He went all the way to ensure the

tyres were fixed and the alloys were not damaged (Since a number of repair guys

us the hammer!). So that was one experience where I was hurt a lot.

b) On the trip to rishikesh that I was talking about earlier, En route I

noticed that the rear tire (non-driver side .. [sometimes I think we should also

have terms like starboard and Port].. so the rear port side) had little air. So

I got it aerated (hehe) at the next fuel station. The car gave no sence of

imbalance, but on driving on the mountains I noticed that it had lower pressure

again. I thought the valve is gone considering that I had done close to 300 km

on that tire and also drove a speeds close to 110kmph. Later I did not take any

chance and on my return 1 day later replaced with the spare, and got the tire

filled again, just in case I needed it in case this one got puncutred. On

reaching home, the next day, I noticed that the tyre was aboslutely deflated.

Took it to one of the non-hammer shops, and found out that the tube was

finished, it had close to 8 punctures and a culprit nail. Got the tube replaced,

(couldnt go to Sterling, since I needed the beast and did not have any booking

for my scorpio and could not leave it overnite.)

I did get over the vale fever by, getting better valves, for around 80(regular

market)-120/-(dealer price) you get these valves, which screw pretty close the

the mouth of the valve and ensure that there are no air leaks at all. They are

bigger than normal valve cups, and some of the costly ones are magnetic as well.

Phew! Now that this is done, I dont know what to make of it, should I feel happy

that despite the punctures and the rigrous driving, we are safe and sound and

drove comfortably? Or the darn tyres started giving me trouble (dunno why I am

thinking that!). Anyone else has any experience with the tires? I did ask the

dealer while purchasing the beast, was told that the tires come with the car and

I cannot change. I ideally wanted Bridgestone but currently have JK. All folks

who have gotten Hankook, what is your experience.?
