Ive been waiting patiently for quite a long time for those designers at mahindra to finally open the covers over this baby.it had a lot of hype around this MUV .All in all , what I was expecting from all this hype was a damper of a product..because generally hype is created to hide the flaws in your product.
But...hey! mister..this guys a head turner.Standing at 2609 cc and guzzling fuel , 2 tonnes of pure rippling muscle , presenting before you ...THE SCORPIOOOO....2.6.First look at it and he looked like a manageable beast to me.I cajoled a friend for days on to take me for a drive in it and there she was..all mine. On the western express highway , I rode this beast at 130 kmph and did not feel a tremble down my spine.I was astonished. Yeah , the looks were good , but the techie friends of mine at mahindra had actually managed to genetically modify and create a silent well behaving and graceful gazelle like BULL in the scorpio.
The insides are spacious enough to take your neighbourhood marriage party all the way to ibiza and the looks are all plastic , but then , whos looking at great interiors and space, when the fun on this turbo charged bull happens while riding it.
The wheels are a humoungous 15 inch bridgestones and makes the scorpio look more and more like the charging bull , rather than a scorpio ( as ther name suggests)
I drove the 5.5 lakh standard version , but my friend tells me there is another dx version for 6.1 lacs.I suggest you buy the base model version and jazz it up with a few goodies of your own rather than directly going for the dx version.
Im yet to drive this baby on a real dirt track , so I cant really comment on this bulls liking towards dirty , muddy roads , though first impressions are that this beast can conquer any terrain.
All I want to end with is , if you guys want a tamed bull , that runs like a gazelle , wags his tail like your dog and climbs hills like a goat , the scorpio is what u want .
