The third/current generation of Mahindra Scorpio was launched back in 2014. Since then, it has not seen many cosmetic or feature changes but has witnessed a new mechanical powertrain. Launched with a 2.6-litre and a 2.2-litre motor, Mahindra in 2016 introduced a 1.99-litre diesel engine in the car as well, which was launched with the company’s Intelli-Hybrid technology at Rs 9.35(ex-showroom) in Delhi recently. This was done in order to overcome the 2-litre and above diesel ban in the national capital.
