It was one of the wonderful moment in my life to become a proud owner of the vehicle XUV5oo W8.
I am an engineer and I was very eager to know all the technical advantages of xuv500. Also I am a member of team bhp blog; which I collected lot many good remarks on this SUV. The sales mangers of G3 Motors knows very well all technical details about xuv and he took almost all his time during our various discussion on the technical features of XUV 5oo to show and explain each of them even before I didn’t confirm him that I am a genuine buyer.
That’s I like most from G3 motors the most; any visitor in the showroom not unattended at any point of time.

Now already I completed almost 3 months of the Delivery & completed driving various locations around 3600kms.
Hats off to this engineering marvel made by Mahindra after driving experience is awesome. You may be astonished to hear with such a Powerful engine with 2200cc my XUV give me average of 16.5KmPL! This above fuel consumption is including my City Driving and one trip with 300km one stretch with good road uniform Stretch. In some places with longer drive I found its one of Most highest fuel efficient engines in this segment; being with Auto Start & Stop features; with fully automatic Rain & Light Sensors; with Tyre Tronics always its awesome experience from Driving point of View.
Superb Handling; with newer Suspension feels Very Smooth driving in Mumbai city and Outskirts Bumpy pothole Roads never ever felt the jerking. I am having 2kids and my wife; reason being to buy this SUV was to have 2rd Row Seat which is mostly needed when my Parents come to my Flat. Excellent Leg Room for 1st & 2nd row seats; Suggestions & Improvement measures: -
I drove earlier 7 years Maruti Swift earlier before owning this SUV.
2 suggestions comes in my mind while driving XUV5oo.
1) 2nd Row seats could be with sliding function to give sometimes more leg room for 3rd Row Seats,
2) 3rd Row seats must be Double Folded or Thinner in Back Rest Portion so that while using 3rd also we could have get some Luggage space at the Boot,
Already completed 7800km No trouble at all; Some up & down Terrain in Mahabaleshwar & Divegar of Maharashtra Travelled but felt no Problem with 8 persons 2 kids and also with Lot Many Luggage at Roof Top Carrier.
One Time some Screeching Sound in the Brake at Rear But Dealer G3 Motors is very Good & Best Service and changed all Bracke Shoes to BOSCH make Shoes.
Really Driving Fun and Well return on investment.
After Driving 24, 000Km as off Feb2015
Awesome to Drive and Use;
So far not any single problem except GPS Map was not detecting any satellites. Dealer Global Gallerie Changed the Whole Housing with an Hour. New SoftWare is installed.
I changed the service Center from G3 Motors, Nerul to Global Gallerie at Panvel. Due to too many XUV comes for Service.
After 20, 000km Service the mileage got increased to 15~16kmpl average. Still highway it is 18~19kmpl. I am getting average above including City and highway driving.
Lower Beam Main Head Light found Lesser Light. Now I purchased and put OSRAM Night Breaker PLUS- Same wattage. Now Increased Low Beam Visibility very Good. Full White Light with these Bulbs. Due to Cadmium Coating. But not HID.
Mounted a Roof Carrier; curvature similar to XUV body Shape.
Great going so far with my July2013 model XUV500.
