Before writing this review I checked few ones on MS. I have been driving this vehicle since last 5 months, done first servicing. Clocked 5000 KM in mixed city and Highway.
Cons:
1) Initially I felt the brakes are not good but then after a week I got used to it and now can drive in bumper to bumper with confidence.
2) Braking noise during rainy season, now its gone, there is little when you apply light braking but bearable.
3) No luggage space when all 3 rows are occupied, got the carrier fitted and then removed back at home. Can be fitted within 15 min if required.
Pros:
1) Excellent Engine and Pickup, no need of accelerator till 50-60 km/hr. It cruises with just having your foot on clutch and brake.
2) Comfort, 2 adults or 1 Adult and 2 Child can sleep like in Bed on back 2 rows if folded. I did this couple of times on my long drives.
3) Mileage - a) City= 12 to 13 kmpl, b) Mix= 15 kmpl, c) Only Highway= 17 to 18 kmpl at 100 cruising speed.
4) Servicing cost including oil, filter change and 12% VAT was just Rs.2, 255 only. Labor was not included though. I inquired labor costs Rs. 950 for paid servicing.
5) No stress driving in city or highway due to comfortable seats, power and its height.
6) Handling is like a car and during turns in ghat section it understeers and not oversteer which is good and can overtake sedans, hatchbacks, volvo’s with ease.
I love this car, on my highway run from Karad to Pune I got 18 kmpl. I did not had any problem with doors, power windows until now. Also observed that XUV runs and handles well as load increases. Attaching some pics.

I had taken my XUV to Leh this month till Pangong Lake. Driven around 6000 KM in 2 weeks. It was good experience and the vehicle delivered quite good on entire journey except while returning its bearing and axle failed. We managed to get it to Mahindra service center in Leh. They said that was not an authorized dealer and so the vehicle was picked up on crane and moved to Srinagar to replace the part which was 400 KM from Leh. The service by Mahindra was excellent and responded even on Sunday. Everything was done free of cost.
After that we came back to Pune from Srinagar in Just 2 days, driving 1400 KM a day and still we didn’t felt tired. In all I got 13KM/Liter mileage in total journey. We covered, Ahemdabad - Amritsar - Jammu - VaishnoDevi - Srinagar - Kargil - Leh - Pangong Lake and back. touched Pakistan and almost near to China border.
In all I am glad to own this vehicle. It sounds like a petrol car and not like diesel which others do. My Third servicing is pending, meter reads 16000 KM and aged 1 year now. 1 photo updated where we were heading towards Pangong Lake in snow.

Now its been more than 2 years I am having XUV. I have just did one paid 4th servicing last year in Jul 2014 after returning from Leh which cost me Rs.4, 200 only. Total expense on servicing I made till now is around Rs.7000. The car reads now @ 25000 KM. There is no major issues except 1 or 2 small rattling sound which can be taken care on next servicing. Now planning for the Trip from Pune to Kanyakumari and other places in south in December. Mileage is in between 12 to 16 KMPL now depending on road conditions, city/highway and how you drive.
