Before writing this review I want to inform you that I dont own xuv500
I just took it for a spin from jammu to srinagar and back total 845 km drive.
Model was xuv500 w10 AWD black
PERFORMANCE
We know mahindra is manufacturing very nice cars so in terms of performance YES it is a beast! 140 ps engine is torqueeee and has a very nice throttle response.
Put your foot down in any gear . engine pulls up very nicely and throws you back into your seat. jammu srinagar highway is decent. . I drove it max 150kph and xuv was planted and stable. best part was on any high inclined road xuv’s hill hold feature was responsive and it could climb any road or mountain very easily.
Suspension and handling
I use fiat linea and in terms of handling fiat are the best.
So xuv’s handling was not that great, on sharp turns at high speed you start loosing your control from the car ., can feel little bit of body roll . and etc etc
But shockers are great they absorbs all the bumbs very calmly and keeps the cabin comfy!
WHAT MORE EXPECTED
yes after linea I will definitely purchase Xuv500
But I want
160 ps engine( more power)
Handling and stablizer bars should improve
And should have a large sunroof!
And a black matt shade new colour!
Sorry I forgot to mention the most imp part

Srinagar highway is a busy highway
But I claimed 12.8 to 13.3 kpl and for that kind of road
It is more than enough!
