Update post 5K Kms

Update: Post 5K Kms. I want to share my experience on how my xylo is performing after touching 5K. Currently its at 6K. In convinced my people at home to go for vacation to Goa and other places in Karnataka such as Srvanabelagola, Shimoga, Coorg, Mangalore, Mysore and Bangalore in my Xylo.

Overall covered 3K kms. Xylo was extremely good in covering bad roads especially road from Tumkur to Sravanabelagola, Coorg(Madikeri was extremely bad) as well as in Dharmastala. We didnt feel any pinch inside and it easily bounced off all potholes and patches. I didnt feel any difference in its performance( we were 6 people in the car) even after 5K Kms.

Completed its first service and asked the service engineers(India Garage) to tighten the brakes little bit and asked them to loosen up the gears and clutch. Overall I paid around 2.5K for service mainly for oil change etc. I tried to go beyound 130Kms/Hr and it gave warning signal as a good driver I respected it and reduced my speed :) - This was in Chennai-Bangalore stretch.

The AC was also very good but I am not able to find any difference in AC after point 3 and 4 infact its lesser than Point 2!!!. Overall a very good vacation in my car and it was truly an untiring, pleasurable experience..Let me know your view and questions

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

This is deepan and I am new to mouthshut. I am from Chennai and I would like to provide review about my new xylo. I am so excited to have my xylo and after reading good reviews in mouthshut as well as other forums I finally decided to buy one. This vehicle is too good and when I go in fourth gear which is hardly possible in chennai traffic but I when I go its superb I jus dont know whats happening outside is soo smooth. I use my car for home-office- home purpose right now and I have ran about 400 odd kms and find this vehicle to be quite sturdy. Since I havent driven a SUV before I am not sure if I can compare with other SUVs/MUVs but overall my experience has been really good and satisfying. The presales and after sales support of the dealer(MPL motors) is really good and they gave me the vehicle within 1 weeks time. They arranged loan for me from HDFC bank and insurance with TAT AIG. Sometimes when I see my vehicle from outside am afraid as its soo huge and powerful at the same time I am proud owner as well( owners pride neighbours envy).. Once u sit in the vehicle u dont feel a damn.. its real flight like experience. I am facing some trouble with gear shifting as its so hard when shifting as well as some problems with door( it gets stuck from inside and need to open from outside sometimes). Otherwise I am not facing any issues. I have put full tank diesel and awaiting it to be over to calculate mileage- with this traffic I guess it will give around 9-11 kms/litre.. I am planning to take this to tiruvanamalai and bangalore to experience its power in long drive...

Basic information

Model - Basic E2

Colour - Red

On road price - Rs 7, 20, 000 and odd( 2 lakhs down payment rest loan)

Dealer - MPL motors

I went for basic model and added accessories as I wished for which turned out to be much cheaper and better. I didnt want DDAS or other features I dont want to pay 1.5-2 lacks more for the same which is not worth for. I went for the below accessories which totally costed me 58K.

DVD player - Pioneer - 10K

Speakers - Pioneer - 4 of them - 6K

Front grill( beam or whatever thats called as) - Steel - 5.5K

Seat covers Black leather seats - 5.5K

Reverse parking assistance - 3.5K

Television - 4.5 K

Alloy wheels - 18K

Floor mats and steerling wheel cover - 1K

Sun guard film - 1.5K

Remote locking - 2.5K

Overall an wonderful SUV and must have for those who want to feel the true driving experience. And those who say Xylo looks awful and all is really personal opinion as looks are always perception driven. Even people didnt like Santro when it came. and even now few dont like spark, i20 etc..

Will keep you all updated once I touch 1000 kms.

Thanks

Deepan
