As I am a customer of new mahindra xylo, I would like to share few of of the pros & cons of the vehicle very honestly.
As the Co. says its really a very good bet for its price considering the features that we get for our hard earned money. To be honest I work for one of the wolrd’s top automobile company (Toyota) which manufactures top class, superior quality vehicles, but when I thought of buying MUV ultimately the cost factor and the features stuck my mind due to which I switched over to Xylo instead of my own comapny’s Innova.
To be frank the plastics that have been used in Xylo is non-comparable with that of Toyota because of these poor quality plastics I think mahindra is able to cut down on the price drastically. But at the same time the space, features, mileage & price tempts any indian customer to go for Xylo if he/she is ready to compromise with the interior quality.
I bought Xylo-E4 variant which I got for 8 lacs exactly on road (Mysore) which came with all the required features that gives a feeling of completeness in the vehicle. The vehicle is loaded with Split Ac(All 3 rows), remote locking, power steering, rear wiper and body coloured bumper which you cannot expect in innova. Moreover the mileage is unbelievable as I am getting 14-15 on long drives without Ac and 11.5-12 with the Ac on. I can say this is the most spacious vehicle in its segment which you can even in its 3rd row and the powerful Ac compressor which gives a chilling effect just with the minimum level (2).
Now let me speak about the cons of this vehicle. As I said earlier the plastics are of poor quality which is clearly visible and the door handles looks just like bird’s wings which looks very delicate. The other problem is tht rear luggage space which is totally negligible if you are carrying big travel bags. The space hold good for small/medium sized bags and for something extra you will have to use the 3rd row.
Overall performance of the vehicle is satisfactory and I am really happy with the vehicle which is best suited for long rides and with less strain you can travel any distance.
The problem is whicle taking reverse, you will not see anything behind while taking reverse make sure that you have a person to guide you for tht.
