Pretty Woman in Manhattan

I love a good Cinderella story as much as the next girl, but this is really really horrible. I wanted to watch it because it was JLo and I thought it would be a newer version of Pretty Woman, but it was horrible.

Her ballgown was horrible. Maybe it was chosen to look ’’exotic, ’’ but it sucked. The only nice thing that she wore was that devine white double breasted coat.

Her friends were annoying beyond annoying. I mean, I would’ve slapped that girl for making Marissa try on someone elses clothes. And they had really high-pitched annoying voices besides. There was one Asian looking Japanese girl there, and the maybe 2 scenes she was in, she looked like she was fulfilling the stereotypical Japanese girl.

There was no character development besides JLo and the would-be senator.

My favorite character was actually the woman whose clothes she borrowed. I think her name was Christina. She was also in the new version of the Parent Trap (playing the mom), and I couldn’t believe that it was the same actress. She was great!

The plot was pretty formulaic, the characters were cardboard and offensively STEREOTYPICAL, and the acting was... well, there was no acting really.

Never did the movie convince me that JLo was Cinderella nor did the guy convince me that he was any kind of Prince Charming. I could not fall in love with this movie despite all hopes to the contrary.
