Hail Bollywood -- Farah Khan arrives, without any appologies to viewers she welcomes you to the world where cliche’ works, where there is a formula for a hit, where there is 70’s, where there is SRK and to top it all its as Macho a movie as it can get by a female debutant director. Farah Khan knows the rules of the game and surely better than most in the industry.
There are people up in heaven and on earth smiling for what Farah Khan has given is a fitting tribute to their work in bollywood.
Not in any particular order, but as per my remembarance here goes the list
Nassir Hussain - 70’s , speak in song, emote in song , express in song
R.D. Burman - SRK knows only RD songs to charm Sush
Yash Chopra - Sush is Chandani in chiffon sarees
Sholay - Plays in theater, Dhanno as Rickshaw , Suneil in Gabbar’s reflection when pulling down the car window.
Dharam paaji - SRK matches machoism
Rishi Kapoor - Light illuminated qawalli jacket , qawalli, Sweaters
Matrix - Satish Shah Spitting , and everyone flying in all the action scenes , never saw a bullet this clear.
Mithun, Rajnikanth - The stunts and effects are anti gravity.
Manmohan Desai - Soutela Bhai , 20 saal baad milan , maa ke haath ke paarathe, baap ki aasthiyan dono bhai milke bahayenge.
Karan Johar - Designer College, Designer Clothes , Designer Emotions
Endorsements - Piza Hut , Cafe Coffe Day , Lays and of course Pepsi
India Pakistan Friendship - The patriot of last year is a home grown Terrorist now.
Golmaal - Ram Prasad Sharma , Lakshman Prasad Sharma aka Lucky
Sajid Khan - Bhai nahin , to film nahin
Movie works in totality, if you wish to be entertained the Bollywood way this is the one, word of caution..leave ur brains at home and wear your bollywood heart on sleeve.
SRK - Carries the movie and ensure a smooth sail, I dont digest him as Major flying in the air but I have aready warned to leave brains at home. Just wonder if we could ever see a sensible movie from this pool of talent. Last saw in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.
Sush - How well can u review a person who has less then 10 dialogues in the movie. She is suave and sexy in chiffons and got paid for that.
Amrita - New Kid on the block, way to go.
Zayeed - One of those star kids who get umpteen chances to perform and slowly improve after those many movies.
Satish Shah, Bindu, Boman Irani - Great Cameos
Suneil Shetty - Looks mean without a reason.
Choreography - Brilliant
Cinematography - Cool
Direction - Awesome.
Its all in all a Farah Khan movie, a must see , and all the credit goes to the director.
