There is nothing more spectacular than simplicity. Main Meri Patni Aur Woh - vouches this.
A very nice and real-life movie. I think everyone acted their best and cudos to Rajpal Yadav for his such a wonderful performance. I have always believed that this guy has not been fully leveraged in our Indian cinema. His other good movie (according to me) is Main Madhuri Dixit ...... All I know he can act brilliantly in any role provided directors dont rush him into cheap comedies like Maine Pyar Kyun Kia.
Let me share why I liked this movie. Before most feminist groups jump on me - I dont think the essence is about man versus woman. And before our womenfolks say all men are like this, I have a different perspective.
Its about having a spouse better than self in something - in this case it was looks and height and it was a man having these complexes. Realistically, its not gender based. We would also know a lot of women who are insecure about their husbands looks, persona, intelligence etc. I am not sure if you agree on this - but think it over.
Coming back to the movie, Rajpals innocent acting keeps the audience to their place with laughter, tears and empathy.
Wish this movie had got more publicity, but not all dont want to watch movies with some lowsy foreign babes doing item number type acting
The songs are wonderful too. A must see for real acting lovers and can be watched with parents and kids :)
