Masala movie

Hello Friends,

Another laughing riot from David Dhawan, the comedy king. But this time it’s not Govinda but Salman and there is nothing as one (Coolie no. 1, Hero no. 1, Jodi no. 1), but the combined effort.

Starcast: -

• Salman Khan as sameer

• Sushmita Sen as Naina

• Katrina Kaif as Sonia

• Arshad Warsi as Vicky

• Sohail Khan as Pyare

• Rajpal yadav as Mr. thapa

And many more.

Story in nutshell: -

Sameer is an orthopedist, who tells young female patients that he’s married (just to keep them away). Unfortunately one day he finally falls in love with a pretty patient, Sonia, and the girl wants to see his wife, but where is the wife????? And the drama starts now!

Sameer convinces his nurse, Naina, to play his wife and later her nephew and niece to play his kids. The extent of lie goes to such an extent that he had to employ a FILMI court for their divorce.

But Maaaaaaaaaaaaa comes here (from where, please no logic, just enjoy), and this MAA won’t let him divorce Naina. And don’t forget Naina is a sexy nurse who would dance in the rain (like sri devi in Mr. India)

And what will happen now is left on the viewers to go and watch out??????

Performances: -

• Salman: -

No difference in SALMAN, he’s the same Sameer (Hum Dil de chuke Sanam), who would not mind removing his pants and shirt. He looks stout and wintry.

And when it comes to acting, I would say now is the right time for him to move to character roles, he bores with his musty comedy.

Salman, you’ve (would say you had) the best physique but today’s audience demand more than just good figure. So give some time to improve your acting skills.

• Sushmita Sen: -

Sushmita is gorgeous, but comedy is not her cup of tea. She should avoid David style movies. She’s an actress of substance and working in such movies is the waste of talent. She was applauded for her performance in ‘SAMAY’ and people want that again and again, (though that’s impossible).

Sushmita, wrapped in saree, you look amazing but people want some acting also.

• Katrina Kaif

A beauty doll, indeed, who’s too tall that during dance sequences director won’t let her wear even CHAPPALS to match with the height of HERO. Her Hindi has improved but dialogue delivery still demands improvement. The other factor that demands improvement is the acting (over-all), she lacks, what one calls natural acting.

Her dance also seems to be some JUDO practice.

• Sohail: -

He comes in entirely new AVATAAR. Like Mehmood sahab, his comedy is subtle. He’s got better looks, agreed, but why does he need to show his chest and biceps like BADA BHAI. He need to realize that gone are the days when HERO’S used to show their muscles and audience used to go gaga. The whole movie centered on SALMAN so even his ability was not well utilised.

• Arshad warsi: -

He’s really refreshing. After MUNNA BHAI MMBS, he delivers another stunning performance. He redefines comedy (unlike shakti-johny). Though he’s not given much space, but even then he’s able to steal the frame.

• Rajpal Yadav: -

He’s another character in the movie worth appreciating. As Mr. Thapa, he leaves you all in praises for him. The comedy we find in this movie is worth calling “ZARA HATKE”.

• MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA: -

The debut movie of this mother coming from HOSHIYARPUR (PUNJAB). She’s a treat in this movie. Her ‘ZOR KA CHANTA’, is well received. She’s no ordinary MOTHER (like NIRUPA ROY), she drives scooter, use her biceps to chase the bad guys away and her slap reminds you of your BAJUWALI AUNTY who would beat kids for all reasons.

• Director: -

David is known directing an amalgamation of family drama and comedy. Most of the time there’s no story but even then the movie works, why???? For instance take this movie only- what is the story here? The bad boy of bollywood wants the hot babes to be away (the best example of SATIRE). He loves a woman, whom, he leaves in the end (or can say made to leave). Director SAHAB, high time for you to realise that INDIAN public has become more demanding now. Gone are the days when you Directed HERO NO. 1, COOLIE NO. 1 etc, and public took it happily. A time to change!!!!!!!!!!!

• Music: -

CHALTAU music- is what I would say about this movie. Though music director tried to put HIP-HOP music, he failed as music lacked sweetness and symphony. Lyrics are pathetic. ‘Laga laga re’, is one song that is worth listening. I would say ‘worst music ever came from David’s movies’. Chill out leaves you heated with pain in your head.

• What does the critics say: -

It’s just another ‘big stars’ studded movie wherein there is no story, music is simply “BAKWAAS”, lyrics don’t make any sense, no logic behind any act, and what else??? Cinematography is heart breaking.

• One liner: -

A comedy that turned a tragedy for the audience.
