Driving in to Mainland China itself took us by surprise, since not many restaurants in Pune offer Valet Parking. Entering the restaurant is pleasant, with courteous greetings (definitely not like a staged drama), and the greeters, managers, waiters and valet parking staff appeared to be quite professional and neatly trained.
Ambience is good as well, adequate and not too-bright lighting, with authentic looking chinese artifacts / scriptures here and there....
The starters were the best part of the dinner we had there... knowledgeable waiters, decent turn-around time, and good presentation. The dumplings and dim-sums especially were good eats.
Main course, though tasty and well-presented, lacked the originality of something like the starters. Meaning which, it was satisfactory + delightful in all respects, but not something that will be remembered for, in the restaurant.
Summary: A definite good place to eat-out, with-family, on a weekend evening. The place is expensive (as compared to other Chinese places), but worth it. Dont forget to stop at Just Baked, on the way home for some delicious chocolate treats!!
