SO after a long wait, I finally got an opportunity to visit mainland china. Had been to the vashi one with my cousins. As the name suggests, this outlet is famous for its Chinese dishes. Authentic Chinese they say. We had been for the buffet lunch and we truly enjoyed the entire experience. The ambiance is superb. The service is superb and the staff is very cordial.
Since we had visited this place on raksha bandhan day we got a complimentary sweet/dessert from sweet Bengal downstairs. If you like only indianised Chinese food then avoid this place. If you like to taste how authentic Chinese tastes like with a hint of Indian flavors then surely you must visit this place. As is the case with all the buffet menu’s the varieties of starters is huge.
Chilli stir fried fish and chicken wontons were the best of the lot. The soup however, was not that great and would avoid it the next time I visit this place. Regarding the overall spiciness of the food it was just perfect. Not too spicy not too bland. Perfect mix and match of flavors. For dessert do try steamed coconut dumplings with honey butter sauce. The name is self explanatory and the dish is simple but a blast of flavors in your mouth. Kudos Mainland China! Only sad part is the cost. It does cost a bomb but then indulgence once in a while is worth it.
