I have been using a dishwasher since 2005 sept. without any problems. Suddenly when the washer runs it started making a whistling sound. The mechanic was called. He ran the machine for a couple of minutes and first said that thebush needs to be replaced.
On being asked how it has been damaged he did not give a constructive reply but then said that the costing one fourth the cost of the machine had to be replaced, and that this would be a recurring problem and this would need to be changed every two to three years. I found this very strange as till now no one had ever said this happened. Actually, the maintainence- repair is handled by the franchisee who from my past experience[whirlpool] are always out to make money.
This was no different. When I asked them the price I was quoted 10% more, plus the service charge was also doubled. I checked from the main office and cameto know that the service centre was cheating. I have already complained to the IFB office and through this I just want to make the consumer aware of the bad working of both the product and company.
