Well my sis-in-law booked this place for our family holiday depending on the travel agent and the pics on the Internet, but the moment we landed there we knew we had been taken for a ride.
Resort this is not. Lakeview is the only thing it has, nothing else. The rooms are absolutely basic. Even a lower middle class home in a smaller town in India would be better. Paint is peeling off some walls, switches are broken. Ambience is unheard of.
The restaurant has wooden tables and plastic chairs, they have not heard of tablecloths. Even my college canteen looked better. The food is OK tastewise but the presentation is lousy. eg: Salad consists of sliced carrot, tomato and onions in a heap in a tray. There is not much choice in the buffet either. Service also barely makes the grade.
We did not feel we were staying in a hotel, much less a resort. The beach is a good 2 km away, long walk. Though we had paid in advance for three days, we checked out the very next day and found another place to stay. The rate also was not that low, we had paid I think Rs. 25000 for 3 nights package for 3 rooms with breakfast and one meal included
Avoid.
