Imagine a world, without mountains , without rivers, trees … , without music STOP !!! , without music NO WAY , its impossible , music is the soul of life itself , our existence .. Music conveys feelings with its beauty of innovation by none other than man himself … today we concentrate on the feeling of love. English music has many artistes rendering Love songs, but the among the best I feel are ’’Air Supply’’ , the duo of Graham and Russel who have glorified love through the sheer beauty of their songs.
After they met in Australia in 1975 , they released their first Album in 1977 and then they didn’t stop, they still help young lovers woo their counterparts and sometimes even mend hearts. Well lets start with the Album I am reviewing ’’Making Love … the best of Air Supply’’ , this album showcases , or rather makes a very difficult compilation of the best of their numbers .
Their music is a blend of two voice, Russel’s is high pitched emphasizing the pain element of the crux of the song., while Graham’s is gentle flowing almost neutralizing the effect ever so beautifully. We start with ’Lost in love’ , this one makes the lover go back to the fond memories of his love.. ’Even the nights are better’ .. since I found ooh what a song , guys you know I have this habit of singing aloud ( no I am not as bad as cacofonix of Asterix) in public places oblivious of people around, I don’t care guys & why should I , I am happy I sing , I am sad I sing , isn’t … so I was singing this song and this uncle in the train was giving me dirty looks saying ’’Son what the hell are you singing ?’’ LOL …
Anyways getting back to the album songs like ’The one that you love’ and ’Every woman in the world’ makes your love feel very special ., ’Two less lonely people in the world’ is a truly great love song and this finds its place in my top 5 love songs review … ’Chances’ is a very optimistic yet anxious song , it goes like ’’Theres a chance you will be there , please be there for me ’’. Moving into the next side ’Making Love out of nothing at all’ takes the cake for its very different lyrics and Russels vocals., ’All out of love’ by Graham is another good song. One of my personal favorites is ’Here I am’ a fab song , it’s a pensive song about a man’s memories of his beloved and he calling her back ..
The last three songs are ’Sweet Dreams’ , ’Keeping the Love alive’ and ’ Now and Forever’ , out of this the second song among the three is good , the other two are quite passable, but still very much listenable.
So guys for those in love , and for those who want to fall in love do get this album , your pupils will turn into red hearts like those characters in comics !!!
