"When I say I am making a film on a housefly, there will be wonder, smile. What would be the story? How can you make a fly act? 10-15 percent there will be heckling and thinking has he gone mad? I am still okay with that. But you can’t ignore it. That is the USP of the film, " said director S.S. RajamouliRajamouli says Eega started as a small-budget experimental film but grew big as it developed. With over 90 minutes of visual effects and realistic animation, the film cost upto 35 crore rupees and will have a multilingual release.
"First time in Indian cinema you have realistic animation characters, ’’ added Rajamouli.
Rajamouli delivered a super-hit with Magadheera , starring Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja, and another hit with Maryada Ramanna that had no big stars. Making a hero out of a housefly is certainly going to be a much, much bigger challenge.
