Pure laughter

Honestly I don’t know how Priyadarshan manages to create such superb laughter riots in sight, sound and dialogue.

MS.com has enough of reviews giving you the plot and its twists and turns so I need not wax eloquently on the plot of the movie.

I have enjoyed Priyadarshan’s earlier movies like Hulchul and so I went to see Malamaal Weekly which was the only Bollywood movie released this week and I am sure he will rake in the money like his lottery movie!

The rural setting, the superb ensemble of cast and their fine ’earthy’ acting with absolutely hilarious dialogue, fine editing and most of all the story with all its twists and turns and the final moral message is just pure delight and heart warming.

Even the stunts are so rural in nature that one can’t help but laugh continuously as I did, because every scene has some comic element.

Every actor has his role perfectly performed. The two actors who are in the maximum number of scenes are Paresh Rawal and Om Puri and they have become synonymous to powerful comic performances that are of a superior quality. Hats off to their perfect comic timing.

This is a movie I enjoyed and its was pure laughter.
